Tacuma Williams

I am an Assistant Principal at Bentonville West High School. I was previously at Lincoln Junior High School as an Assistant Principal. I have been in the district since 2012. I have done extensive work in both the corporate, and education environment in Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Cultural Competence since 2008. I also serve on the City of Bentonville Task force for Diversity and Inclusion.

I have had a passion for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity most of my life. I grew up in a Christian household steeped in empathy, integrity, and an untiring effort towards helping others. My parents ingrained in me at a very young age the tenant that all men and women were and are created equal. As I have grown in my knowledge of social injustice, I have learned more and more about the inequalities in our system towards all walks of life. My goal in life is to work to diminish and hopefully eliminate those inequalities.

As educators, it is our duty to ensure that every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. This is at the core of the work that our district Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee does. I hope you will consider joining us in this work.
